While you're live, you can interact with your viewers by responding to comments, taking requests, and answering questions. You can also use goals,a tip menu, and a few other tips and tricks to make your live stream more engaging and more profitable.

You can go live whether you have a free or a paid account. By following these tips, you can make sure your live streams are successful.

Pros and Cons of Going Live on OnlyFans

Going live on OnlyFans is not for everyone, and it’s not a good fit for every creator. There are pros and cons about going live on OnlyFans that you should consider before deciding to do it.

Pros:

● It is a significant potential revenue stream for some OF creators. It is realistic for even new creators to make hundreds of dollars during a live show, and for established creators to make several hundred, a few thousand or even over $5,000 in a single live stream.

● A lot of OnlyFans creators don’t do them, so if you choose to do them, it gives you a competitive advantage.

● Live Discovery (Once Subscribed) - OnlyFans discovery of creators you don’t subscribe to is not the best. It doesn’t show up on screen if you’re on a phone at all, and it only shows three at a time if you’re on a standard web browser. Live streams are prominently advertised on the homepage of every OnlyFans user, so there’s a built-in discovery that is not so easy to do any other way. It only shows that information if you’re subscribed to them.

● Building a Connection with your subscribers - OnlyFans creators have their best opportunity to connect with their subscribers via a live stream. It’s the easiest way for your subscribers to get to know you, and for you to know your subscribers. Subscribers have been known to fall in love and/or uncontrollable lust with creators during a live stream.

● Loyalty - As part of this connection, you can build loyal subscribers via live streams. Some subscribers do most if not all of their tipping via live streams.

● Trust Factor - When you go live on OnlyFans, subscribers know it is you. There’s no doubt they are talking to you, especially if you respond to their messages in the chat stream. Going on live gives the model a level of credibility that can’t be faked. When a subscriber views a live stream, they know they’re watching live, especially if you respond to things going on in the live chat.

● Upsell potential - Lives have a trickle-down effect. They help to sell sexting, customs, PPVs, bundles, dick ratings, copies of the lives themselves, private lives/FaceTime, videos/bundles, and custom content. You can also sell the recorded stream, and offer a copy to those that tipped during the live stream.

● Q & A - They are an excellent vehicle for the creators to answer questions from their subscribers. It can showcase the creator and what kind of content they are capable of.

● Instant Feedback - You get instant feedback from your subscribers. It can help tell you what content to make based on what’s popular in the live stream.

● You may charge for access. This is only available for free pages.

● You can also do a live for a select group of subscribers instead of all subscribers, provided they are on the list.

● You can also “take the live private” for those who have already tipped in the live, and charge a fee to everyone else.

Cons:

Freeloaders - Especially if you have a OF free account or are a paid account that most people subscribe via a free trial link, you will have a percentage of viewers that won’t tip in a live stream no matter what you do. This can be a source of frustration for the creator. More on this topic can be found below.

● “Want to collab” or “meetup” - Some subscribers think that OF is Tinder or Bumble. They will want to “shoot content” with you. This is often a variation of freeloaders but some that tip also want to hookup also exhibit this behavior.

Odd, disruptive, or offensive behavior - You’ll get some subscribers that will say some pretty strange things or will start insulting you or other subscribers. The only thing you can do is to block

● Giving off a poor attitude - If a creator doesn’t want to do the live stream or shows a negative attitude, this can greatly affect the live.

Chatters - If you use chatters, it can become easy for a subscriber that attends the lives to spot a poorly trained chatter because a subscriber knows how the creator speaks. Also, if the chatter and the creator are not exchanging information, it can

○ However, this is an opportunity for chatters to pick up how a creator speaks, to connect to tippers later, and to come up with sales techniques from just watching the lives, especially if watching the stream live as it happens.

English Language - Most subscribers that attend an OF Live stream speak/read English, so unless most of the creator’s subscribers speak a language other than English, a creator who speaks English at least at a 6-7/10 level is recommended. Otherwise, it’s probably not a good idea.

Platform Instability - OF live streams can be glitchy, especially on some nights. This can affect participation and cause lives to fail.

Poor attendance - Some days and times of the day are just dead, no matter what you do.

Competition - Other nights will have many other creators going live.

Only visible to current subscribers - Unlike some social media platforms, OnlyFans clones, Tube sites, or adult chat websites, there is no discovery mode available to find live subscribers.

● Beware of the “Chicken Little” effect - If a creator has a tendency to schedule and then cancel or postpone a live stream, it can affect subscribers’ desire to attend. They will announce that they are going live and then either do a no-show or

● Be careful with burnout.
